PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a liquid crystal display element and a TFT substrate for the liquid crystal display element from which the liquid crystal display element having the substrates strongly bonded with a uniform cell gap can be obtained. SOLUTION: The substrate for the liquid crystal display element is characterized in that it has a substrate, a common electrode formed on the substrate, and a partition wall portion for pressure-reduction bonding formed on the common electrode.
