PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking force detection device hardly being affected by the vertical force or lateral force and capable of stabilizing the detection output. SOLUTION: The braking force detection device detects the strain of a caliper bracket, in which a sensor plate is fixed on the outside of the brake load receiver, at the time of the progress of a vehicle.
