<p>Heat exchanger is made up of at least two separate heat exchanger units. Each of these consists of a top metal sheet (3) and a bottom metal sheet (4) which are welded together at positions (5) along their length, leaving channels (10) for fluid. The units are connected by a plate (11) welded across raised sections of their top sheets along their edges. Independent claims are included for: (A) heat exchangers comprising at least one unit as described with an edge plate which has apertures connecting with the fluid channels; and (B) methods for making each type of heat exchanger.</p>
