An ash box is provided to prevent corrosion of ashes by fabricating with glass or crystal material and sealing with a silicon packing. An ash box comprises a body(10), a lid(20), and a sealing cover(30). The body, made of glass, has a stepped projection(13) formed by extending the rim of an upper opening(11) outward. The cover, made of glass, has the same diameter as the rim of the opening. A circular packing(40) is intervened between the rim and the cover. The sealing cover has a flat portion(31) with a cross-sectional shape like U and a protruded portion(32) so as to surround an upper surface(21) of the lid and the stepped projection in a state the opening of the body is closed with the lid.
