<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly find a gene related to bovine mastitis resistance, and to provide a method for efficiently diagnosing the gene resistant to bovine mastitis. <P>SOLUTION: It is found that bovine mastitis sensibility is caused by inserting a 1 to 4 bp portion into the 1110 position of IGF1R gene, and provided is a method for diagnosing the gene resistant to the bovine mastitis by utilizing a base sequence difference produced by the insertion. Concretely, the method for diagnosing the gene resistant to the bovine mastitis comprises a process (a) for obtaining a bovine nucleic acid sample of diagnosis target, a process (b) for subjecting the nucleic acid sample obtained in the process (a) to a gene amplification reaction to obtain a nucleic acid fragment in which a domain containing a mutated site capable of existing in the bovine mastitis-resistant gene IGF1R is amplified, and a process (c) for checking the presence of the mutation in the nucleic acid fragment obtained in the process (b). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
