PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the start timing of a confining operation of a confined type sense amplifier operation. SOLUTION: This device is provided with, in addition to a sense amplifier 31 connected to the bit line of a memory cell array including a plurality of memory cells so as to be separated, and adapted to perform a confining operation of amplifying a data signal by separating the bit line of the memory cell array during data reading from the memory cell, a timing adjust circuit 36 for adjusting the timing of the confining operation of the sense amplifier.
