APPARATUS FOR REMOVING SNOW CORNICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, which can be made with a simple configuration of parts and is capable of certainly and safely removing snow cornice without stopping electric power supply to overhead wires. SOLUTION: A cutting blade 2 for cutting and removing a snow cornice fixed to a running body 3 runs by using a hanger rail 5 and at least three suspension rollers 6 running on the hanger rail 5. This configuration does not disturb the travelling of the running body 3 even though a roof 1 is deflected; and a stable work for removing snow cornice can be performed even though the roof 1 is thin and similar to that installed above a platform of a railway station. Since the snow cornice formed at the edge of the eaves can be removed by moving the cutting blade 2 installed to the running body 3 along the edge of the eaves and therefore the snow cornice can be removed certainly and safely without stopping the electric power supply to the overhead wires thereby eliminating a conventional method for removing the snow cornice with a shovel by a worker.
