PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting control device for a vehicular instrument panel making a driver intuitively grasp the state of a vehicle by using the lighting of an instrument panel including various kinds of meters. SOLUTION: A vertical wall 14 covered with a main hood 13 arranged over continuous three meters 1 is indirectly lighted by red and blue LEDs 14R and 14L in the right and left. In the normal operation of the vehicle, the right and the left blue LEDs 14R and 14L are lighted, and immediately after normally starting an engine and during an idle stop, the blue LEDs included in right and left indirect lighting LEDs 16R and 16L are blinked to change luminance in a slow cycle. During a manual shift mode, the red LED is intermittently lighted. When a door of the vehicle is opened or not closed properly, the red LED on the opened door side is intermittently blinked in a relatively short cycle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
