LINEAR GUIDANCE DEVICE

A linear guidance device in which a track groove (30, 70) functioning as an endless circulation path for balls (3) can be highly precisely formed by cutting or grinding and that can be produced at low cost. The linear guidance device has a raceway rail (1, 5) and a movement block (2, 6). The raceway rail (1, 5) has on each side surface a ball rolling groove (10, 50). The movement block (2, 6) is formed in a channel-like shape with a guide groove (22, 62) provided with a base section (20, 60) and a pair of flanges (21, 61) and having the track groove in a guidance groove facing the raceway rail (1, 5). The track groove has load linear grooves (31, 71) formed in the inner surfaces of the flanges, no-load linear grooves (32, 72) formed in corners at which the flanges and the base section intersect with each other or in the base section and facing the raceway rail, and a ball deflection groove (33, 73) interconnecting the load linear groove and the no-load linear groove and allowing the balls to move between the grooves.
