HUMANIZED ANTIBODIES THAT RECOGNIZE BETA AMYLOID PEPTIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active substance effective for treating and preventing diseases accompanying the deposition of beta-amyloid (Aβ) peptide in cerebral nerve cells, namely amyloidogenic diseases, for example, Alzheimer's disease and neuritic dystrophy, and to provide a method therefor.

SOLUTION: A humanized immunoglobulin or an antigen-binding fragment comprises variable region complementarity determining regions (CDRs) from two immunoglobulin light chain and heavy chain variable region sequences, and a variable framework region from a human acceptor immunoglobulin light chain sequence. The employment of the protein on the production of medicines for preventing and treating the diseases is also provided.
