<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve amusement of a game by attaining a tactical attack in the case of a battle in a video game, so as to increase the variation of the battle. <P>SOLUTION: In battle-related processing, when attack designation of a player character is received by attack designation operation by a player and an enemy character is damaged according to an attack operation, it is judged whether the attack is a direct attack of damaging directly or a specific kind of attack different from the direct attack, a panic reaction period which sets the reaction of the enemy character receiving the specific kind of attack to be a panic reaction which disables the enemy character for defending against an attack, and the panic reaction is performed until the panic reaction period passes.
