<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which a variation in permeability sensor output (the detection error of the toner concentration of developer by a permeability sensor) due to a change in process linear velocity can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device developing a latent image on a latent image carrier in an image forming apparatus is configured to include: a developer carrier for developing the latent image on the latent image carrier by the developer which is carried on the surface of the developer carrier and contains a toner and a carrier; a plurality of conveying screws for conveying the developer; the permeability sensor for measuring the toner concentration of the developer by a change in permeability; and a rotational-speed-independent control means for adjusting the rotational speed of the conveying screw for conveying the developer of the permeability sensor, independently of the rotational speed of the other conveying screws. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
