<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode which hardly produces the discharge dregs (sludge) often produced in electric discharge machining, and is excellent in the durability. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode is shell shaped, having: an open hole portion 15 for jetting electric discharge machining liquid 34 in electric discharge machining work; and an internal hollow cavity portion 10.
