<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a mechanism for varying the installation position of a lamp for a projection display apparatus or the like in order to adjust the projection angle and the projection range, and also to surely and easily cool the lamp. <P>SOLUTION: Lamp exit side ducts 101 and 102 leading to the lamp 90 and a lamp entrance side duct 104 leading to the lamp are disposed. A first joint part 103 is disposed at the leading end of the lamp exit side duct. A second joint part 105 is disposed at the leading end of the lamp entrance side duct. Pipes 110 and 120 are individually and movably connected to the first and second joint parts, then; the first and second joint parts are connected to a cooling mechanism 200 through the pipes.
