<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument and method for measuring a degree of growth of a plant with no limit in a measuring time and a measuring place. <P>SOLUTION: The measuring instrument for measuring optically the degree of growth of the plant is provided with: a light source for emitting a light; a photoreception part for measuring an intensity of a reflected light reflected by the measuring plant; and a computing part for finding a growth degree index of the measuring plant, based on the light intensity detected by the photoreception part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
