<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a thread-whirling head by improving the head, and to allow an easy and quick exchange of individual tips without additional adjustment work. <P>SOLUTION: An annular thread-whirling head 1 is described, which has throwaway tips projecting from its periphery, mounted in recesses in a first plane, and connected directly to the thread-whirling head 1. The plurality of throwaway tips lies with a throwaway surface on a bearing surface of the recess, in such a manner that the throwaway tips are individually accessible, and can be assembled and disassembled in a simple manner by way of a fastening element. The produced swarf per throwaway tip is minimized by way of the plurality of used throwaway tips, and the service life or the performance of the thread-whirling head 1 is extended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
