PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using an existing indoor lamp line as a communication line, eliminating the need for installing an exclusive communication line, when introducing a nurse call system in hospitals and various types of nursing-care facilities. SOLUTION: A communication device using a lamp line was invented by adding a lamp cord communication modem to a signal transmitter and a signal receiver for a nurse call system. According to the present invention, a nurse call system can be utilized with only an inexpensive and short-term construction, without having to install a new communication line for nurse calls. Also the amount of information which can be transmitted and received has been increased and it is easily determined by indication and sound, which of the sensors in which room has been operated.
