PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket enhancing the cooling efficiency of an engine by circulating cooling water between cylinder bores without machining holes between the cylinder bores of a cylinder block. SOLUTION: The cylinder head gasket 10 is interposed and applied between the cylinder block 3 equipped with the plurality of cylinder bores 4 and cooling water bores 6 and a cylinder head 2. The cylinder head gasket is characterized by a base plate 11 formed with cylinder holes 14 corresponding to the cylinder bores 4, cooling water holes 16 corresponding to the cooling water bores 6 and cooling water paths 26 communicating with the cooling water bores 6 between adjacent cylinder holes 4.
