PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a game machine, which is capable of preventing the game machine from being fraudulently unlocked with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A connecting rod 4 for connecting an upper hook member 5 and a lower hook member 6 is slidably disposed inside a base frame body 1. A tilting-retaining member 16 is pivoted on the side of the rod 4 to retain the rod 4 shifted to the body 1 at tilting of the members 5 and 6 and hold them the positions. When a front frame 31 is closed to a main body frame 30, a part of the retaining member 16 is brought into contact with an abutment part 36 on the main body frame side to turn, releasing the retainment of the rod 4 to make the machine a lock state. A stopper 19 to be engaged with an engaging projection of a cam member 13 for blocking a shift of the rod 4 in a releasing direction when a cylinder lock 14 is not operated is fixed to part of the rod 4.
