In a pilot-type valve, a valve box enclosing a main valve is flangeless, and the valve box is arranged in a state sandwiched between pipe flanges. In the pilot-type valve that uses a pilot valve to control a driving force required to operate a main valve 2 to open and close the main valve 2, valve box 6 enclosing the main valve 2 is sandwiched between pipe flanges F, F 1 tightened to each other with bolts B, B 1 , . . . and nuts N, N 1 , . . . . In addition, the valve box 6 is flangeless at its connection end portions 11, 12 for connection with the pipe flanges F, F 1 and having an inlet and outlet 7 and 8 for a pressurized fluid respectively. A cover flange neck 18 extended upward from the valve box 6 is restricted only at sites on its wide walls corresponding to the bolts B, B 1 extended between the pipe flanges F, F 1 and adjacent to each other on the circumferences of the pipe flanges F, F 1 , so that the cover flange neck 18 can be passed through the interval between the bolts B, B 1 at this restricted portion. |
