The device (1) has a coil (2), a magnetic core (3) arranged around the coil, a magnetic shape memory unit (4), a control unit (6) and a resetting unit (7), where the memory unit is arranged between the coil and the control unit in a gap (10) of the core. The control unit executes a linear stroke through an elongation of the memory unit during production of a magnetic field by the memory unit, where the memory unit is arranged below the coil. A supporting unit (5) is arranged between the memory unit and the coil for supporting the memory unit.
