A nonwoven fabric product is provided to improve the wet tensile strength, by binding a polymeric binder consisting of vinyl acetate, ethylene, and cross-linking monomer, and a nonwoven web of fibers when producing the nonwoven fabric product. A nonwoven fabric product is formed of a nonwoven web of fibers, which is bonded to a sufficient amount of polymeric binder to form a self-sustaining web. The polymeric binder consists of vinyl acetate, ethylene, and cross-linking monomer. The polymeric binder is formed by emulsion polymerization. A surfactant containing 0.5-3 wt% of critical micelles is used for the emulsion polymerization. Further, 3 to 30 wt.% of ethylene is comprised based on 100 wt.% of the polymer. |
