<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for an electric storage device and the electric storage device, capable of suppressing variations in the temperature distribution in the electrode plane. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode is used for an electric storage device including plural electrodes that are stacked, such that an ion-conductive layer 14 is disposed between each pair of the electrodes; each of the plural electrodes includes a current collator 11, and electrode layers 12, 13 formed on the current collector and containing an active material; and the configuration of the electrode layer (for example, the amount of the active material) varies according to the position in the electrode layer, such that one region of the electrode, which is lower in radiation performance than another region of the electrode, is lower in the current density than in the other region of the electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
