<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for producing hydrogen in which a heat energy is used as energy for producing hydrogen and a heat source of a relatively low temperature as low as 250-350°C is used as energy source. <P>SOLUTION: Hydrogen is generated by reducing water by keeping an aqueous solution containing sulfur or a sulfur compound having reducing ability under high-temperature high-pressure conditions. Preferable sulfur compound is Na<SB>2</SB>S, S<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB><SP>2-</SP>or SO<SB>3</SB><SP>2-</SP>, and preferable reaction temperature is 250-350°C. It is preferable that the pressure is set to be not lower than the saturated vapor pressure at the preferable temperature to prevent the sulfur compound from being dried by the evaporation of water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
