<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost dye-sensitized solar cell having satisfactory performance. <P>SOLUTION: This dye-sensitized solar cell executes photoelectric conversion by the oxidation-reduction reaction of iodine, and platinum is effective for a catalyst-reducing iodine and is in practical use. However, since platinum is very expensive, when an electrode is constituted of elemental platinum, manufacturing cost will increase. Here, an electrode made by forming a thin film layer (not larger than 2 μm) of platinum on titanium having proper adhesiveness to platinum by a technique, such as plating, vacuum deposition or spattering is used as a reduction electrode 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
