<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having excellent UV absorptivity as well as excellent heat resistance and excellent optical transparency and preventing foaming, to provide a polarizing plate having less appearance defects by using the above optical film, and to provide a high-quality image display device using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film has a light transmittance of 15% or less at 380 nm in a thickness of 80 μm and is obtained by extruding a molding material having a resin component essentially comprising (meth)acrylic resin and an antioxidant by 0.02 parts by weight or more with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component, showing a weight reduction of 10% or less by heating at 300°C for 20 minutes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
