PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer only a required image, without transferring data not required to be transferred, by surely selecting the image desired to be transferred. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus comprising: a photographing means for photographing an image in response to a photographing instruction; a display means for displaying the photographed image; a transfer instruction accepting means for accepting a transfer instruction to transfer the photographed image to an external device; a communication means for transferring an image of which the transfer instruction is accepted, to the external device; and a display control means which controls display by the display means so as to continue the display of the image until accepting the transfer instruction in a case where the transfer instruction can be accepted by the transfer instruction accepting means while the photographed image is displayed.
