The unit has a carriage (3) brought in engagement with a thread of a drive component (2) e.g. threaded spindle, through a slot shaped recess of a spindle pipe, where the threaded spindle is partially enclosed by a casing (5) in the form of the spindle pipe. The carriage is arranged outside the spindle pipe. The slot shaped recess runs parallel to a spindle axis (4). The carriage has a pressure roller that acts on an outer side of the spindle pipe. An inner cross section of a recess of the carriage corresponds to an outer cross section of the spindle pipe.
