A heater using a PTC(Positive Thermistor Coefficient) element is provided to improve insulation stability without damage or breakdown of an insulating layer by coating upper and lower radiating cases with insulating material. A heater using a PTC element(7) includes a PTC element guide(8), upper and lower electrode plates(5,6), upper and lower radiating cases(3,9), fixing clips(1,1-1), and upper and lower radiating fins(2,2-1). The PTC element is assembled in the PTC element guide. The upper and lower electrode plates are installed on upper and lower surfaces of the PTC element guide respectively in contact with the PTC element. The upper and lower radiating cases are closely adhered to upper and lower surfaces of the upper and lower electrode plates to provide a heat transfer area. The fixing clips fix both lengthwise ends of the upper and lower radiating cases. The upper and lower radiating fins are closely fixed to upper and lower surfaces of the upper and lower radiating cases to radiate heat generated from the PTC element. |
