It is possible to maintain consistency and integrity after storing medical image data which has been read from a medium by a medical image managing device. A client (5) reads medial image data from a medium (7) and causes a medical image DB (4) to store medical image data selected by a user operation. Moreover, the read medical image data is corrected in accordance with a user operation and stored in the medical image DB (4). The client (5) judges consistency of the medical image data. If additional information is not consistent, the inconsistent additional information is displayed on a list so as to be distinguished from the other items.
