<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved mobile body counting device, capable of automatically changing setting of a detection area for detecting a mobile body, and a mobile body counting method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile body counting device 100 comprises an image acquisition part 110 acquiring an image at predetermined intervals; an image recognition part 130 recognizing a form similar to a preset form contained in the image; a position acquisition part 150 acquiring the coordinate position of the similar form contained in the image; a detection area generation part 160 generating a detection area based on the coordinate position; a mobile body detection part 170 detecting mobile bodies contained in the image; and a mobile body counting part 180 counting the number of mobile bodies contained in the detection area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
