<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for complementing the performance of a secondary battery to comply with the increasing demand of the mobile property of today's electronic apparatus and the maintenance of the functions of used mobile personal computers, because conventional uninterruptible power supply units are designed mainly for the purposes of stabilizing commercial power supply and thereby of stabilizing and replacing a storage battery incorporated in the electronic apparatus to be connected and because the secondary battery has substantial limitations in its service life and electrical capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus incorporating sufficient secondary batteries and power terminals are connected to the electronic apparatus. Power terminals of various shapes are used, but the apparatus can be made to fit to the various terminal shapes by replacing connectors. Voltages vary, too, depending on power sources, but the apparatus can be made applicable to the various voltages with a step-up or step-down regulator. With regard to the electric capacity of the secondary battery, sufficient margin is available for the shape of the apparatus, so that sufficient electric capacity can be supplied. Since this apparatus is interfaced with other electronic apparatus with only the power terminals, the shape of the secondary batteries can be standardized and thereby a cost-effective apparatus can be produced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
