<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal lens which reduces power consumption and improves accuracy of a driving voltage applied to a plurality of annular electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal lens includes a liquid crystal layer interposed between first and second transparent electrodes, a common electrode formed on the first transparent substrate on the side of the liquid crystal layer, the plurality of annular electrodes formed on the second transparent substrate on the side of the liquid crystal layer, and a voltage-drop resistance electrode which is connected to the plurality of annular electrodes and applies resistance-divided control voltages to the respective annular electrodes. The voltage-drop resistance electrode is provided in a partially cut annular-ring shape with a predetermined gap from the outermost circumferential part of a lens effective diameter region formed of the plurality of annular electrodes, and connected to the respective annular electrodes from a predetermined position of the annular electrode through lead-out lines; and the driving voltage is applied between both electrode ends formed by cutting a portion of the voltage-drop resistance electrode to apply the control voltages driving the liquid crystal layer to the plurality of annular electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
