<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioactive glass composition from which uniform glass can be more easily produced. <P>SOLUTION: The bioactive glass composition comprising SiO<SB>2</SB>, Na<SB>2</SB>O, K<SB>2</SB>O, CaO, and P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>has following composition: 48-52 wt.% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 9-15 wt.% Na<SB>2</SB>O, 12-18 wt.% K<SB>2</SB>O, 10-16 wt.% CaO, 1-7 wt.% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 0.2-2 wt.% TiO<SB>2</SB>, 0-4 wt.% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and 0-6 wt.% MgO, wherein Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O>25 wt.%, MgO+CaO>14 wt.%, and B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>/P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>>0.3.
