<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replenishing device capable of stably replenishing toner, and capable of using up the toner, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the replenishing device. <P>SOLUTION: When the remaining toner amount in a developing device becomes equal to or smaller than a predetermined remaining amount, the discharge of toner from a toner bottle starts. Among a plurality of toner bottles, a bottle with a small amount of toner is set as the main bottle. When the developing device is not fully filled despite the toner being replenished from the main bottle for a prescribed time, the toner is simultaneously discharged from the toner bottle, other than the main bottle. When the developing device becomes with the toner discharged from two bottles, or when the toner is replenished thereafter for a prescribed time, the operations of replenishing the toner from two bottles will be stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
