<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and stably form a specified tear line on the outer skin of an interior member with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for forming the tear line is used to form the tear line (C) to be torn by the expansion of an air bag by forming notches C having a specified depth on the outer skin H of an interior member in which an air bag is contained, and comprises: a jig 1 for holding the outer skin H; a notching means 2 for forming the notch on the outer skin H held by the jig 1; a sucking means for sucking the outer skin H held by the jig 1; and a measuring means 4 for measuring the depth of the formed notch C. The jig 1 comprises a projecting portion 10 which projects the portion to form the tear line (C) of the outer skin H toward the working blade 20 of the notching means 2, and applies the tensile stress to the outer skin H in the direction perpendicular to the tear line (C). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
