<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for rationally using a video signboard not only by advertising its own company, but also handling video advertisement provided by another advertiser. <P>SOLUTION: (1) A video signboard device according to the present invention includes a storage means, a main control means, a video memory, a display control means, and the video signboard, and is able to communicate with an advertisement managing server through a communication network. (2) The storage means stores a work database, a broadcasting schedule, and a broadcasting history. (3) In the work database, work IDs, pieces of video works, and property descriptions are made to correspond to one another. (4) The property descriptions include information showing whether the pieces of works are for other companies. (5) The broadcasting schedule includes an array of work IDs prescribing a time series of broadcasting of a plurality of pieces of video work. (6) In the broadcasting history, work IDs of pieces of advertisement work of other companies and broadcasting times are made to correspond to each other. (7) A main control means extracts pieces of video works to be broadcast from the work database one after another based upon the broadcasting schedule, and expands video data based upon the pieces of video work one after another in a video memory. (8) A display control means supplies the video data from the video memory to the video signboard, which displays and outputs them.
