<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and method which embed electronic watermark information so that extraction from image data becomes more certain. <P>SOLUTION: First, Bit blocks are constituted of M×N pieces of DCT blocks formed by performing DCT conversion of the image data. Then, coefficient factors in the DCT block are sequentially divided into a plurality of first groups from the high frequency side and each of the first groups is further divided into second groups indicating deviation to either of 0/1. Then, deviation between the second groups is generated in the same direction to generate a deviation state of the DCT blocks. Furthermore, a deviation state of the Bit blocks is generated by making deviation of all the DCT blocks in the Bit blocks as in the same direction and the electronic watermark information is constituted by combining the Bit blocks as one bit unit according to the deviation direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
