PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a filter unit to a given position in a casing, without causing damage and exfoliation of a gasket. SOLUTION: This filter device is provided with the filter unit 7 having the gasket 19 set at one opening edge of a frame 15 for supporting a filter 17, and the casing 5 containing the filter unit 7. The filter device inserts the filter unit 7 from a side face of the casing 5 and supports it on a peripheral edge part of an air flow-in opening in the casing 5 via the gasket 19. Sliding faces 27 for allowing sliding movement of sliding members 9 protruded from both sides of the frame 15, are formed on two guide members 11 extendedly provided on both sides of the filter unit 7 in the insertion direction. The sliding face 27 is formed with the height reduced in the insertion direction of the filter unit 7, and with the gasket 19 coming into contact with the peripheral edge part of the flow-in opening at an advanced end position of the filter unit.
