PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter in which the occurrence of color unevenness and color slippage can be prevented by readily performing discharge stabilization of an inkjet head in a saved space in a method for manufacturing the color filter by discharging the ink while making the inkjet head scan relatively with respect to a transparent substrate. SOLUTION: Preliminary discharge regions are disposed at both ends of an effective pixel region and the inkjet head is made to scan the transparent substrate. By discharging the ink to the preliminary discharge region on the scanning start side in each scanning, the discharge stabilization during ink discharge start time is performed and simultaneously by discharging the ink to the preliminary discharge region on the scanning end side and the pattern lateral side as well, the color slippage prevention in the pattern outer peripheral part is made possible.
