PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle instrument capable of automatically positioning an operation display panel according to a shape or the like of a dashboard when the in-vehicle instrument is mounted to the dashboard in a vehicle to set the position of the installation of the operation display panel. SOLUTION: A control unit 70 of an in-vehicle instrument moves an operation display panel by the drive of a motor 50 for advancement/retraction. A distance sensor 40 detects a position for the advancement/retraction of the operation display panel when a protective cushion provided on the back side of the operation display panel is brought into contact with a dashboard. The retrospective position by a predetermined distance therefrom is positioned as the fixing position of the operation display panel, and stored in a storage unit 74. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
