PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a low-cost compound-eye lens system, using a simple communication path. SOLUTION: A communicating synchronization signal is broadcast from a controller 1 to each of camera units 2, by a communication system which does not require reference clock itself on the receiving side like v-by-one. At the same time, the controller 1 sends to each camera unit 2 a reset signal for periodically resetting the drive timing signal of a CCD 132, generated by a TG 46. The TG 46 of each camera unit 2 makes a clock frequency of a drive signal generated by itself equal, with the clock frequency of the received communicating synchronization signal.
