PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module capable of stabilizing an oscillating wavelength at low cost without using a wavelength filter such as an etalon. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser module 20 comprises a semiconductor laser 21, a photodiode 22, a thermistor 23 arranged near the semiconductor laser 21, a peltier element 24, and an electric resistance element 25 for generating heat according to variation in the drive current of the semiconductor laser 21. The electric resistance element 25 is arranged near the thermistor 23. The electric resistance element is connected in parallel with the semiconductor laser 21. A temperature detected by the thermistor 23 is changed by heat conduction from the electric resistance element 25 according to a rise in temperature in the laser caused by an increase in the drive current of the semiconductor laser 21. The temperature in the semiconductor laser 21 is kept constant by controlling the drive current of the peltier element 24 by an ATC circuit 28 so that the detected temperature is kept constant.
