PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow decorative building material which is evaluated equivalently to a solid flat steel plate and a solid flat aluminum plate in terms of the possession of luxuriousness, high quality, an upscale image and a massive feeling, peculiar to the solid flat steel plate and the solid flat aluminum plate, conventionally called a flat bar, in spite of the hollow building material, which does not require labor for working such as polishing, and which can be handled as an inexpensive reinforcing/design material. SOLUTION: In this hollow decorative building material A, a pair of side member 11 and 11 with a chevron-shaped joint 13 is formed of a rolled member, and a pair of face members 12 and 12 joined together in a mutually opposed manner in a longitudinal direction along the side members 11 and 11 is formed of the rolled member. Theses members are joined and integrated together by means of an adhesive 14. Light-chamfering is applied to a corner portion 16 where the side members 11 and 11 and the face members 12 and 12 butt against one another, so that invisible facing can be applied to a joint between both the members.
