A throw out bearing for a vehicle clutch has needle bearings (4) set at an angle of 30 to 60 deg. to the shaft axis for a self centering design. The bearing has a plastic block with the needle bearings held between an inner plate (5) pressed into the plastic block and an outer plate (6). Additional bearings (8) parallel to the shaft axis can be needle or roller types.
