摘要 A method of learning a position of a cam sensor of a hybrid vehicle is provided to improve the output of engine power by executing a cam sensor position learning at re-ignition timing differently from initial-ignition timing. A method of learning a position of a cam sensor of a hybrid vehicle comprises the step of determining whether an error occurs to the cam sensor(111). If the error does not occur, it is determined that an error occurs to the cam sensor. If the error of the cam sensor does not occurs, all variables except for a cam sensor learning value are reset. If an ignition key is turned on, an engine operation frequency is increased(113). It is determined whether the engine operation frequency is below 1 in a corresponding driving cycle(115). If the engine operation frequency is below 1, a variable valve timing device stops working. The cam sensor position learning value is stored in a memory. If the engine operation frequency is not below 1, a variable intake valve timing device is operated corresponding to air intake and rotational frequency of an engine. The cam sensor position learning value is read. It is determined whether the cam sensor position learning value exists in an allowed range. If the cam sensor position learning value exists in the allowed range, the variable valve timing device continues operating according to an external engine condition.
