A low-power deblocking filter, a deblocking method, and a communication terminal using the same are provided to reduce operation, which the deblocking filter performs, to reduce implemented hardware, thereby operating the low-power deblocking filter at a low power. At least one first mux(31a) receives data included in a first area of a block boundary and data included in a second area to output any one of two data. A filter unit(32) receives the data outputted from the first mux to perform filter operation. A demux(33) outputs the output of the filter unit as filtered data in the first area and the second area. At least one second mux(31b) receives data included in the first area of the block boundary and data included in the second area to output the data of the other area different from that of the first mux.
