A display apparatus, a display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to maintain the capacitance ratio of a storage capacitor and a liquid crystal capacitor and to enhance an aperture ratio simultaneously, thereby increasing a response speed. Switching devices(TFT1,TFT2) are formed at pixel areas defined by gate lines(GLn-1,GLn) and source lines crossly arranged with each other. A liquid crystal capacitor includes a pixel electrode electrically connected through the switching device and the first contact hole. A storage capacitor includes a storage line formed independently to the pixel area. The storage line are overlapped with the source line and also connected with the pixel electrode electrically through the second contact hole. The static capacitance ratio of the liquid crystal capacitor and storage capacitor is 0.4 to 0.6. The liquid crystal capacitor includes a pixel electrode, a common electrode arranged oppositely to the pixel electrode and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode.
