PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing device by which an operator easily selects a template which can be combined with a predetermined image when a predetermined printer matter, etc. such as a postcard is created by combining the predetermined image with the template. SOLUTION: When it is detected that a memory card is loaded on a card slot (YES of a step S4), a first template having the insertion area of an image is preferentially read to a second template without having the insertion area of the image (a step S5) and displayed on a selection screen to select the template (a step S6). After selection of the first template, a photographic image recorded in the memory card is selected (a step S10). The selected photographic image is inserted into the image insertion area of the selected first template, image composition is performed (a step S12) and the composite image is printed on the postcard (a step S14).
