PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclined screw conveyor which minimizes powder particles intruding into a rotation holding mechanism when conveying the powder particles from a low place to a high place. SOLUTION: The rotation holding mechanism comprises: a bearing unit 9 fitted in a position toward a lower end of a screw; a bearing unit supporting member 11 attached to a lower end face of a trough for holding the bearing unit at a predetermined interval from the trough, and having an opening 10 in a lower face wall; an annular cover 12 mounted with the screw penetrating therethrough near the bearing unit 9 in the bearing unit supporting member 11 for forming an annular space surrounding a portion of the screw near the bearing unit 9 with the bearing unit 9; a compressed air supply means 13 for supplying compressed air to the annular space; and a gland packing mechanism 14 provided penetrating a lower end wall of the trough for preventing the powder particles from leaking from a gap between the lower end wall and the screw.
